Recycled Skateboard Square Drink Coaster

Each broken skateboard deck has the grip tape removed, then cut into thin strips. These strips are then sanded, glued and placed in a press for several hours. The final product is hand sanded, then a clear coat is applied to keep it from staining and to bring out the colors of each veneer. The underside of each coaster is lined with cork so it won't scratch.
